A scarce and fabulous looking 18K YG Baume & Mercier man’s dress model ref 37081 circa 1980s. Featuring an elongated and curved tonneau shaped case with wide twisted rope design bezel, and magnificent lapis blue enamel dial. This was a recent purchase from the much acclaimed Original Miami Beach Antique Show (OMBAS) and we have to say it is the discovery and purchase we are most excited about! Featuring a tapering 25 x 43mm case, with a curve that perfectly conforms to the wrist, the design is reminiscent of the now elusive Bueche Girod “banana” shaped cases of the 1970’s. The dial of this watch is simply electric! The color is of the finest quality lapis lazuli, but it is a vibrant and intense lacquer with minimalist dial details, gold signature and tapering gold hands. In pristine condition, with original little worn blue shark strap and 18K YG Baume and Mercier tang buckle. Powered by manual wind caliber 775 movement and accented with a recessed cabochon sapphire set crown. Guaranteed genuine of course, and in our not so humble opinion guaranteed to become one of the most special watches one of you will ever own!
